In my interview with USA Today columnist Joyce Lamb, I mentioned that child star Aria Tesolin was one of my inspirations for LURE OF SONG AND MAGIC.  Shortly thereafter I received a message from Aria's office that she's just released an EP of love songs. We've been exchanging emails and Twitter messages about our simultaneous releases.

Absolutely amazing the difference a computer makes! I'm still working on my old books, trying to update them for the digital age. I'm pretty sure I had a computer in the early 90's, but I'd spent ten years prior to that writing in long hand and typing into a typewriter, and old habits die hard. And those old habits included very little editing. Stories pretty much stayed as they were written. How did it get to be almost October? Really, I feel as if I've been running in place all month. I can't even take a few hours off for a nice lunch with fellow writers without coming home to feel as if I'm half a day behind.

 Our Rome hotel room is about three feet bigger than the bed but it’s wonderfully clean and updated with modern tile and fixtures, although I would have appreciated a larger shower instead of a bidet.   Day six brings the ship technically back to Greece, although the island of Rhodes is really just off the Turkish coast.
