English Heiress Arrives!

Wow, it took years of work and months of preparation, but Michael's story is finally available to everyone. It's being introduced today at Book View Cafe, a co-op entirely of authors. If you're used to manually downloading your e-books, please take a look there and support your local author.

Links to other sources can be found at Backlist ebooks. Or you can just go directly to your usual romance drug supplier.

I'll be blogging hither and yon. I'm at Romcon today, July 10th. I'll be visiting with one of my RWA chapter members, Jennifer Jakes, and Romance Crush Junkies tomorrow.

I'll be visiting the Bookworms on July 12th  and the Bookwenches on July 13th.

And of course, as usual, you can find an excerpt on my website.
Sometime soon, I hope to actually get back to writing another book!

I'm glad to see you haven't succumbed to the madness of selling a full-length novel for 99 cents. 99 cents is for short stories. I don't think any new full-length novel should go for less than $4.99 (maybe less for backlist, although I'm not sure), and longer should sell for higher.

When we live in a world where a cup of Starbucks coffee sells for more than a novel, something is wrong. The coffee will last a a half hour. The book gives many hours of pleasure. While I don't advocate gouging readers, I do advocate a fair price for books.

Best of luck with your sales.

Thanks, Linda! I do occasionally use price pulsing (right now Texas Lily is free and The Marquess is 2.99) to drive sales, but I very deliberately price books based on my print books. If print can sell for $7.99, I see no reason e-books shouldn't be $6.99 if they're original releases.

99 cents might work for newbies looking for readers, but it's not good for the market.
