Proofing E-books

Will anyone who purchases my e-books in any format please let me know if the formatting is in good order?  I have ten books in six formats and simply don't have the time to download all the necessary software to read them, much less actually proof all those pages. I have to trust the formatters, and given the mess I've seen in some of the professionally published e-books I'm reading, I'm thinking none of the formatting software works well.

I'm also thinking until publishers agree on a single format, readers will have to put up with some truly difficult-to-read books.  I'm rather fussy about the fonts and spacing and markers in my books--another reason I'm resisting looking at the electronic versions.  Does the way a book looks on the page make any difference to you?
